Learn Hungarian through stories (level A2-B1)
Build a routine and be part of an awesome community!
In a traditional course you encounter 30 new words and new grammar structures every class. The things “you should already know” are piling. You never have enough time to actually use what you learned, and most of the time it's not even useful for your life.
there was a sustainable and enjoyable way to study Hungarian?
you weren't alone in this, you had a guide and a supportive community behind you?
it was much simpler than you thought?
you want to build a sustainable routine for learning Hungarian
you want to use authentic and exciting material
you want to expand your vocabulary
you could use a little more motivation
you want to learn colloquial expressions and everyday cultural fun facts
The concept comes from American linguist, Dr. Stephen Krashen. It is language input that can be understood by learners even when they don’t understand all the words and structures in a given text, or audio.
It is the most effective way for learning vocabulary
It improves your pronunciation
Hearing the same correct grammar structures will help you learn grammar without memorizing grammar tables
It'll improve your speaking skills - without realizing you'll start using new words you heard over and over again in conversations
Listening to something designed for your level will make you feel accomplished and it'll keep you motivated
This course won't open again this year. The places are limited. If you are always procrastinating, this is your sign to start learning Hungarian now!
“I took a 5-6 year long break from learning Hungarian. I call Sziszi my little fairy, because she enchanted me and she got me to return to studying Hungarian.”
Hélène“I like the monthly video meetings best. I feel like I'm at a party, it's always a great atmosphere, we have a good laugh, but we also learn and practice. It's a miracle that people from all over the world can talk in Hungarian about fun and serious topics.”
Vlasta“The topics of the podcasts vary and are always fun. Sziszi always finds interesting topics. The podcast accompanies my learning every week and without realizing it, I've again picked up a few new words that I can use in the next conversation with my Hungarian relatives. ”
Janin“Sziszi speaks at a natural, conversational speed that is still understandable for the magyar nyelv student. Her stories are funny and interesting and her process of mastering the English language and Spanish language in the United States are relatable. ”
Podcast listener“I love listening because it's like chatting with a friend. I understand everything.”
Podcast listener“I started learning Hungarian exactly a year ago. I never believed I'll be able to communicate in Hungarian so fast. That's how good your material is! I wanted to thank you for your effort, time and creativity but especially for being such an inspiring and supportive person!”
Efrat“I listen to your podcast every day and it always makes me happy because it's very interesting and pleasant to listen to.”
Sam"The thing that struck me the most about the content that Sziszi produces and creates is the fact that the language is very natural, but at the same time it's perfect for learners. And when I listen to her podcast or watch her videos, I got the impression that a friend is talking to me. She's telling me stuff about her life, about Budapest, about Hungary, about her struggles as a learner. So for me that has really made a difference because I started watching and listening to every single podcast and every single video that Sziszi has produced. And as a consequence of that, my vocabulary has improved, my listening comprehension has improved. Right now I'm able to enjoy more complex videos, for example, on Youtube and also watch the news. So it has really made a huge impact on my learning. "
